Overview of Night Owl’s Features and Tech DVR and NVR While the cameras aren’t as easy to install as Blink’s wire-free cameras, in my experience, it was easy enough. If you’re intimidated by DIY projects, you’ll like Night Owl. It’s also worth mentioning that hiding wires on the wired cams was the most time-consuming part. Thankfully, each side is labeled with its appropriate home: “to camera” or “to DVR or NVR.” I recommend connecting the cameras and making sure there’s a signal before mounting them. Once the DVR is connected, you’ll then connect the BNC cables. The wired options were only slightly more complicated, but watching Night Owl’s setup video helped. If you don’t hear the camera say it’s in pairing mode when you plug it in, just press the reset button until it says “resetting.” And adding the camera to your NVR is no sweat its built-in Wi-Fi quickly found the new camera and added it to an empty channel since everything runs over Wi-Fi. All I had to do was plug in the power adapter to hear that the camera was in pairing mode. Learn about more devices out there with hassle-free installation in our roundup of the best wireless cameras.Īs far as setup goes, Night Owl wireless security cameras are simple, but you’ll want to follow their quick online setup guide just to be sure. Did You Know: It’s a race to the top for home security companies to see who can offer the fastest and easiest installation in the industry. The optical and far-infrared polarization vectors both trace a common direction indicating that the core preserved the magnetic field morphology inherited by the parental cloud while it was evolving and contracting. We obtained new polarimetric HAWC+ data at 214 µm. Previous optical polarimetry of this cloud, which traces the low-density cloud-scale magnetic field, revealed a uniform strength of B ≈ 100 µm and a field structure aligned perpendicularly to the main axis of the cloud. It is embedded in the Lupus I molecular cloud, the least evolved component of the Lupus complex. HAWC+ targeted the low-mass protostellar core IRAS 15398-3359, which hosts a protostar younger than 104 yr. The dust particles are predicted to align with the local magnetic field, giving rise to thermal radiation polarized perpendicularly with respect to B.Īs part of its southern deployment to New Zealand in 2018, SOFIA sought to study the initial stages of low-mass star formation in a highly magnetized environment. Magnetic fields are difficult to detect, but the High-resolution Airborne Wideband Camera Plus (HAWC+) on SOFIA observes polarized dust emission at far-infrared wavelengths that are not accessible from the ground. However, such a feature has been observed only rarely, especially in low-mass objects, for which there are only two clear detections reported in the literature. At the scales of dense cores (fractions of parsec), the theory of magnetically-driven collapse in a uniform field predicts first the formation of a flattened structure (a pseudodisc), since the matter can only flow along the field lines later, the gravitational pull grows strong enough to pinch the field lines, giving rise to a characteristic hourglass shape. However, how they interplay with other important forces - such as gravity and turbulence - are topics currently under great debate. Magnetic fields (B) are ubiquitous in interstellar space, and their role in the star-formation process is of fundamental importance. Heart Attack Man will then hit the west coast with Sincere Engineer and Rome Hero Foxes in June. The band’s tour with Seaway and Free Throw has kicked off and runs through May 10. The band took their bows thanking everyone once again.Cleveland OH’s Heart Attack Man have finally released their new album ‘Fake Blood’ on You Did This/Triple Crown Records. They ended their set with the massive track “The Mountain” The pit had erupted to every inch of the floor, I couldn’t believe the sea of people moving. Seeing there was not going to be any encore tonight front man Dez warned the crowd this is your last chance to throw-down. Dez and band took time to thank the crowd for coming out and supporting them over the years. The brutal musical assault never let up the whole time the band was on stage. I love how they put their own spin on it. I must admit their metal version of the AWOLnation song was incredible and moving. DevilDriver fronted by Dez Fafara (Coal Chamber) ripped right into “Ruthless,” followed by “Hold Back The Day.” The fans were treated to two cover songs, “Whiskey River” originally by the legendary outlaw Willie Nelson and “Sail” by AWOLnation. After the intro, both the band and crowd exploded into a mass of fury that I haven’t seen in a while. It didn’t take long before the band everyone was waiting for hit the stage. One song that resonated with me was the track “Words of Wisdom.” Other songs that were highly intense were “Ape” and “Pisces.” Not to sound like a broken record but I must say I did enjoy seeing this band and would encourage you to check them out if can, you won’t regret it. From the moment the band stormed the stage, the crowd erupted into a furious mosh pit and no wonder with the incredible combination of guitarist Roman Ibramkhalilov and Eugene Kostyuk on bass backed by Vladislav Ulasevish’s thunderous drums! Front woman Tatiana interacted with the crowd between songs and thanked those who come out and support live metal music. Jinger, the Ukrainian metal band, led by front woman Tatiana Shmailyuk seems to have a very strong following not only in Rochester, NY but also in the United States. Based on the excitement from the crowd, I was able to guess that I was in for a treat. Next up on the stage was a band I had not seen yet. Raven Black played a very nice mix of songs including some of my favorites, “Twinkle Twinkle Little Scars,” and “13.” If you have not had a chance to see them I would suggest checking them out because they are an act that gets better each time you see them. The band is fronted by the very talented and spooky Raven who has no problem filling the room with her intense and thunderous vocals. For those who are not yet familiar with this band, they are originally from Los Angeles, CA only recently moving to Michigan. They also crank out some eerie and melodic punk metal music. I was impressed with the band’s horror comic-sequel costumes and stage props. In fact, I had been looking forward to catching them live again since the last time they played in Rochester. This is not my first time seeing Raven Black live. They brought a few killer bands along with them to help round out the evening Raven Black and Jinger. DEVILDRIVER made a stop on their current tour in support of their new record Outlaws Til the End to Rochester, NY on November 1. RUSQUARTET was founded in 2001 at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory under the tutelage of Galina Soboleva, cellist of the Prokofiev Quartet. Tchaikovsky himself wrote a version for cello and string orchestra in the late 1880s, which he conducted in Berlin, Paris and Odessa. With the exception of the Andante cantabile from the first quartet, which thanks to countless arrangements became one of his most popular pieces, not unlike the Adagio of Samuel Barber, which also originally is the slow movement of his string quartet. He also toured the United States, where he was afforded impressive hospitality.Despite the fame and popularity of Tchaikovsky’s works such as the ballet scores of The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, the Serenade for string orchestra, the last three symphonies (in particular the sixth, the “Pathétique”), the opera’s (in particular Eugene Onegin), the first piano concerto and last but not least the violin concerto, his output for string quartet has not yet reached the international audience as much as one could expect, considering the high quality of the compositions and the reputation of the composer. A year later, in 1891, he was invited to the United States to participate in the opening ceremonies for Carnegie Hall. At the age of fifty, he premiered Sleeping Beauty and The Queen of Spades in St. He overcame his shyness and started conducting appearances in concert halls throughout Europe, making his music the first of any Russian composer to be accepted and appreciated by Western music consumers. Tchaikovsky’s music ultimately earned him international acclaim, leading to his receiving a lifelong subsidy from the Tsar in 1885. He composed that work in his mid-thirties, a decade when he premiered his opera Eugene Onegin and composed the 1812 Overture (excerpt may be viewed at the link on tchaikovsky.html) and Serenade for Strings. In appreciation and respect for his patron, Tchaikovsky dedicated his fourth symphony to Meck. The secured environment she afforded Tchaikovsky enabled him to compose unrestrainedly and very creatively. In his letters to Meck, Tchaikovsky would explain how he envisioned and wrote his music, describing it as a holistic compositional process, with his envisioning the thematic development to the instrumentation being all one thought. They communicated through a series of letters to one another, and this distance letter-friendship soon became one of fervent attachment. Due to the social norms of the era, she had to be very careful to make sure that her intentions in supporting the composer went towards his music and not towards the composer as a man consequently, they never met one another other than possibly through the undirected mutual glances at a crowded concert hall or theater. From her secluded estate, she raised her eleven children and managed her estate and railroads. His benefactor was a widowed industrialist, Nadezhda von Meck, who was dominating and emotional and who loved his music. Her financial support helped restore Tchaikovsky to health, freed him from his burdensome teaching responsibilities, and permitted him to focus on his compositions. Zombie games are a dime a dozen these days, but VR is enough to give Arizona Sunshine a refreshing boost to make it worth your time. Throw in some silly jokes, and the world of Job Simulator remains one of our favorite places to visit in VR. In Job Simulator, the world is your oyster, and almost everything can be grabbed, picked up, and thrown. One of the main draws of the technology is that you can touch objects that aren’t actually there. The reason Job Simulator succeeds so well has to do with how it uses VR. Yes, Job Simulator even makes the seemingly dreadful job of working as a cashier hilarious and fun. The four mundane job scenarios - office worker, gourmet chef, convenience store clerk, and mechanic - each one provides new ways to play. As a bored human looking to pass the time, you use VR to simulate the past and learn about what it was like to work for a living back in the good ol’ days (or at least what our robot servants assume it was like to work). In Job Simulator, it’s the year 2050, and humans have automated every job on the planet. Who would’ve thought that mundane jobs could be so fun in VR? Owlchemy Labs apparently did, and it was right. Skyrim hasn’t quite overstayed its welcome just yet, and returning to Tamriel in VR is a delight, sure to intrigue longtime fans and newcomers alike. While the default movement system effectively utilizes short-range teleportation to remove the threat of motion sickness, the free movement actually works surprisingly well - better than other first-person games on the platform. The game can be played with the PlayStation Move controllers, adding more immersive combat. The visuals line up more closely to the original Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Skyrim, but it’s hard to consider that too much of a knock given the scope of this title. For a game as wide in scope as Skyrim, its voyage onto PSVR is extremely impressive. After a series of ports that have made it impossible for Skyrim to fade into the past, the fantasy experience entered the proposed future of gaming - virtual reality. The 2011 Bethesda RPG captivated gamers with its expansive open world, but its allure came from its choose-your-adventure mentality. Over a decade later and we’re somehow still talking about Skyrim. While the gameplay loop can get a bit frustrating due to the PSVR’s limited camera-tracking capabilities, Superhot VR nonetheless provides a unique experience for PSVR owners. Navigating Superhot‘s confined rooms, sifting past, and dismembering enemies have never been as satisfying as it is in VR. Will you try and go for the kill with your next movement or come up with a less direct approach? The choice is yours. The VR version remains a fast-paced first-person shooter with an emphasis on strategy, but in VR, Superhot‘s inherent tension ramps up. In VR, Superhot employs the stop-time mechanic with the PlayStation Move controllers, which act as your hands. In the original, time stopped every time you did, causing enemies to remain stagnant as you calculated your next move. Serving as a sort of expansion to an already innovative title, Superhot VR tasks players with devising strategies to eliminate rooms full of hostile enemies with pistols, shotguns, knives, bottles - whatever you can get your hands on. Both for this fight, and any future ones while healing. And losing limbs causes blood loss, pain, and significantly degrades your combat ability. Meanwhile you have a ~13% chance per lancer shot to lose a limb even after the duster (also before overkill protection) vs never with cataphract. And the disparity will shrink even further with skin layer clothes, stoneskin glands etc. Sure its "twice as likely" but its also only in 0.23% of cases where lancers actually hit you that it makes a difference. So its comparing a 0.45% chance vs a 0.22% chance for a fatality with every lancer shot you take. It has a what, 2% chance to be targeted? I think it might actually be significantly less but I can't check the wiki without losing the comment so lets assume thats right. But thats assuming the overkill protection doesn't happen, which will shrink both values, and more importantly it assumes that the heart is hit in the first place. Assuming my math is right (I'm doing it mostly in my head because the app keeps losing my comment when I switch to a calculator so it might not be) assuming a lancer shoots you in the heart, you have a 22.5% chance to die in cataphract vs 10.7% in flak and duster. And the heart vs a single mitigation gives it basically the best possible case for overkill protection to kick in.Īnd thats kinda the point. Its the brain and the heart that risk instant destruction even post mitigation. The liver has 20 HP not 15, and can survive a single mitigation charge lance shot. Now, Devilstrand Duster + Flak Vest being stronger than RECON armor on the other hand. The chopping blade is the most versatile of all the attachments and will likely be the most-used.You’ll likely have to use a smaller quantity than the original recipe as processor bowls have smaller capacities than stand mixers, for example. Knead a variety of doughs with the dough blade: homemade pasta, pizza dough, edible cookie dough, vanilla shortbread dough, iced buns with cream and jam, raspberry and almond traybake Some caveats: we recommend running the food processor on low to avoid being too aggressive with the dough.Whizz through laborious grating tasks with the grating attachment, make: honey, parsnip and coconut cake, rosti fish cake, walnut and almond muesli with grated apple, grilled corn with garlic mayo and grated cheese, chocolate courgette cake, easy creamy coleslaw, oven-baked rosti cake.Achieve uniform results with the slicing attachment you can make: crispy garlic and rosemary slices, boulangere potatoes, dauphinoise potatoes, butternut dauphinoise, fennel dauphinoise, pickled red cabbage, potato and radish salad, coconut chicken with cucumber salad. Some models will come with additional blender or mini chopper attachments, which offer an added level of versatility, but even the core accessories render the humble food processor a truly multi-functional appliance.
